Sue Thomson is a creative, passionate, and innovative leader who has focused the past three decades of her career on developing and growing community-centric organizations and leading multi-generational initiatives in the visual and performing art spaces. She currently serves as the Director of Contemporary Music and Creative Arts at Southminster Presbyterian, where she designs engaging programs and leads diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Sue is an avid photographer, serves as Vice President of Thomson Allstate Insurance Agency, and has a strong background in special needs education. Thomson’s background in supporting students with special needs and her philanthropic community work has further reinforced her commitment to creating and supporting programming that engages broad audiences and celebrates diversity. In addition to serving the community, Sue was in a classic rock and one-hit-wonder band for 10 years and performed at the Grand Re-opening of downtown Arlington Heights.
As a long-time resident of Arlington Heights, her deep community ties and passion for the arts make her a valuable addition to the board.
