Janna has a gift and love for teaching. She passes her passion for music to her students in a way that motivates them, whether young or old. As well, Janna tailors their lessons to meet their needs and goals. She has taught private piano lessons for over 20 years to both children and adults as well as to children with special needs. In 2018 Janna joined the Metropolis School of Performing Arts team where she provides one-on-one instruction to students at a variety of levels.
She is a member of the Music Teacher’s Association of Illinois and the Nationally Certified Music Teacher in Piano. Janna received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Piano Pedagogy and Maters degree in Speech-Language Therapy from the Herzen State University in St Petersburg, Russia. The music training included extensive studies in piano performance, music theory, an accompaniment and singing technique as well as child psychology and pedagogy.
