Though Claire joined Metropolis as a permanent employee in January of 2023, she has considered the theatre home for most of her life. Her first experience at SOPA was family cello lessons in 2008, and she returned in 2011 to study musical theatre. Claire was a SOPA regular until 2021, when she went on to study at Second City Chicago. Claire is particularly known for her love of feminist comedy, her coloratura vocal range, and multiple reality TV appearances.
Between acting in her first feature film, producing her debut solo comedy for Elgin Fringe Fest, finishing as a runner-up in the 2022 Chicago Broadway World Awards, and making her directorial debut with Columbia College Chicago, Claire has spent the last several years teaching preschool. She’s never strayed far, though, and has returned to Metropolis several times in wardrobe and stage management positions for various productions.
