Andrew Bosworth is an actor and teacher calling Chicago his first true home in his life. He attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, lived a nomadic actor’s life for the better part of five years, landing in Austin, TX briefly as his wife attended Graduate School. He finally ended up at the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training in Sarasota, FL for Graduate School himself. At the Asolo he trained with Andrei Malaev-Babel, the world’s only expert and leading proponent of the Nikolai Demidov Organic Acting school. Andrew has brought the approach to stages in Florida, Missouri, Princeton IL, and now Chicago. In his time at the Asolo, he had the privilege to work with both the late Rachel Rockwell and Frank Galati.
His wife took a position as Head Draper at the Goodman Theatre costume shop, and they came to Chicago in late 2019 (objectively bad timing, truth be told). Over the pandemic Professor Malaev-Babel began a teacher certification program online in the Demidov Approach, and Andrew completed that three-year course in May 2023, joining colleagues in London/Vienna and Athens as the first certified instructors in the world – and aside from Professor Malaev-Babel himself, the only one in the United States.
In the Chicago theatre scene, he has been seen working as an actor with Redtwist, Glass Apple, City Lit, Stage Left, and now Metropolis. He is represented by Big Mouth Talent, and is also a big nerd.
