Wheelchair-accessible seating: Please inform the Box Office of any need for accessible seating at the time of ticket purchase. If it is not mentioned at the time of purchase, accessible seating cannot be guaranteed.

Assisted Listening devices: Metropolis is looped [Telecoil (“T-coil”) Loop] for the hearing impaired. A hearing loop broadcasts sound directly from our sound system to hearing aids and cochlear implants.

Sensory-Friendly shows: For select shows, primarily for Theatre for Young Audiences, we offer sensory-friendly performances throughout a given season.

American Sign Language shows: Metropolis is pleased to offer select ASL performances for our Main Stage series. Please visit the correct show page for additional details.

At this time, we do not have senior discounts. There are student tickets available for some performances-please contact the Box Office for more information. Children who sit on a parent’s lap do not need their own ticket.

• We do not offer standing-room-only tickets, nor do we allow patrons to stand in the Metropolis Theater to enjoy a show.

There are many great restaurants within walking distance of Metropolis, including Peggy Kinanne’s Irish Restaurant & Pub, Francesca’s Tavola and Mago Grill & Cantina. Please check online for more listings in proximity to the theater.

When can we enter the theatre on event nights?2024-09-11T11:14:27-05:00

The Whisler Family Lobby is open Monday through Saturday, 12:00pm-4:00pm. On show days, the box office will remain open until the start of the performance. Seating typically begins 30 minutes prior to curtain time.

Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the house manager. Please arrive on time to avoid distracting the performers on stage and other audience members. Actors may use the aisles during performances, so latecomers may need to wait until the aisles are clear, and will be seated by the house manager or an usher.

• We sell beer, wine, soda, and bottled water. Patrons may enjoy beverages in the theater that are purchased at our service bar.
• No food of any kind is permitted in the theater. Patrons will be asked to discard food before entering the theater.
• Glass bottles are not allowed in theater.

• Some shows and events have recommended ages and may not be suitable for young people of a certain age.
• Guardians are responsible for determining if show content is suitable.
• All show and event pages will have a recommended age. If it does not, please contact the Box Office to determine if the show or event is suitable.

• Recording and photographing any show at Metropolis is not allowed, even performances by the School of the Performing Arts.
• To record or photograph any portion of a performance without the written permission of Metropolis management is prohibited by law.
• Anyone recording or photographing a performance at Metropolis will be asked to leave the performance immediately.

• All electronic devices must be silenced or turned off.
• Strollers and walkers must be stored. A House Manager or Audience Services team member will assist you.
• Please respect all patrons and performers by not talking during the show.
• No food of any kind is not allowed in the theater. Please know that you will be asked to discard food in containers before entering the theater.
• Glass bottles are not allowed in the theater.
