A Night of Comedy with Mike Toomey

Whether you’ve seen him on WGN-TV or at sold out shows at Metropolis, Mike Toomey’s sharp delivery and unique style make him a comedy favorite. He performs locally and on HBO, MTV and A&E. Join him for a night of comedy as he kicks off the 2021 Metropolis season.

Toomey is joined by guest Hari Rao, and John Da Cosse hosts the evening.

WGN Radio personality, John Da Cosse has developed a solid reputation nationwide. He has opened for big names like Ellen DeGeneres, George Lopez, Craig Ferguson and Billy Gardell, and has appeared on NBC, Comedy Central and TBS. He has served as an audience warm-up for many television shows including the Rosie O’Donnell and Oprah Winfrey Shows. He can be seen at Zanies in the Chicagoland area, and all Funnybone and Improv comedy clubs across the United States. John can be heard on the Steve Cochran podcast, Live From My Office.

Hari Rao’s comedy draws upon 45 years of life experience to highlight the peculiarities of everyday living that we simply accept as given, as well as dissecting his own personal experiences that can best be described as “are you being serious?!”. His adventure in standup began in 2016 while his experience in entertainment spans two decades as a recording artist, a recurring theme in his comedy (his band’s song “Rewind” can be heard as the theme song to ABC’s The Goldbergs). Hari is a regularly featured performer at Zanies Comedy Clubs.
