Introduce your child to the joy of piano playing in a welcoming group environment. Hands-on activities & games teach fundamentals of note reading and proper technique. Our BRAND NEW piano lab allows students to work independently or as a group. A great way to prepare students for private piano lessons! Required books covered by class fee and are students' to keep at the conclusion of the semester.
Introduce your child to the joy of singing in a welcoming group environment. While singing their hearts out to popular and traditional tunes students learn fundamentals of healthy vocal technique, ensemble singing and note reading. This class is a great way to prepare students for private voice lessons and includes a performance opportunity!
Auditions: Sunday, February 26, 2017, beginning at 1:30pm
- 32 bars of an up-tempo song and 32 bars of a ballad. Musical theater or jazz standard preferred, in the style of Disney and/or Alan Menken. (Please bring sheet music in the appropriate keys). An accompanist will be provided. CD track accompaniment accepted (karaoke/without vocals). All singers must have musical accompaniment. No a cappella auditions will be accepted.
- Dance audition: Come prepared with any type of dance shoe or gym shoe and clothes you can easily move in.

FYI: There are a few rehearsal dates between Pinocchio! and Part of Your World: The Music of Alan Menken that overlap. You may still sign up for both programs if interested.
Students grades 3-12 are invited to audition for Part of Your World: The Music of Alan Menken, an original concert written by Metropolis Voice Faculty Tiffany Gates and Nathan W. Brown. Students will be featured along with faculty as they sing and dance on the Metropolis stage with music by Oscar, Grammy and Tony award winning composer Alan Menken. Concert includes songs from popular musicals including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Newsies, Little Shop of Horrors, Pocahontas, Hercules, Sister Act and Tangled. A great learning experience for students to perform with professionals in the performing arts!

Returning students must register by January 6, 2017 in order to secure a time slot with their current faculty. After January 6, returning students will be charged a late registration fee of $15. New students can register at any time and refer to Group Registration dates.
